All visitors must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All visitors are encouraged to schedule a time to visit before arriving.  Use the link on this page.

  • The museum is currently limited to six total patrons and two parties at any one time. 

  • A mask must be worn at all times while in the museum. This includes vaccinated individuals.  

  • Any patron exhibiting COVID-related symptoms is asked to reschedule their visit.

  • Patrons must limit their visit to one hour.

  • Patrons must refrain from entering an exhibit room if another party is viewing the exhibit. Please wait until an exhibit space is empty before entering 

  • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines when inside the museum by maintaining at least six feet of distance between you and other parties/museum employees.

  • Customer and Bus Parking located in City Parking Lot, north of the Champaign Police Station

  • Parking Lot immediately west of the museum. (Free on Saturday and Sunday)

  • On-street parking available at $0.25/hour (Free on Saturday and Sunday)


Suggested Donation

We hope your enjoy your visit to the museum and consider donating to our organization.  The suggested donation is $3/per person.  Your contributions help us continue our mission of preserving and exhibiting Champaign County's rich history.  



Our museum is located in the oldest commercial building in Champaign County.  Our exhibits are housed on the first floor with our research and community room located on the second floor.


The museum has a chair lift to accommodate those with physical disabilities.  However, the museum does not have an elevator.  We will make every accomodation possible to aid in your visit.
